smokescreen
The world is burning As I sit alone in my room tugging at the knots in my hair, watching smoke waft under my door. I cover my ears but am unable to silence the screams, tears stream from eyes but it doesn't soothe the burning. The smoke can't mask what's going on around us, those who were trusted to protect do no such thing the world is dying and the fire has started from inside my very home
