Slaves of modern age
Invisible chains, unseen shackles, bound, From dawn to dusk, toil with no respite, Silent cries, unheard pleas, lost in sound, Slaves of the modern age, this endless plight. Their souls are diminished by the grinding wheel, Minds left stagnant, dreams turned to despair, A cycle of anguish, where pain does steal, The essence of life, leaving nought but wear. Day by day, their spirits worn and oppressed, Stripped of autonomy, sold to the grind, Mere cogs in a system, tirelessly pressed, Their worth measured by profit, unkind. But who are these modern slaves in disguise? Amidst the noise and chaos of the throng, The workers unseen, tears hidden in their eyes, Their stories untold, silenced for too long. From factories to homes, the servitude blooms, Their labor unjustly unappreciated, Exploited by those who sit in gilded rooms, Our collective conscience underestimated. Yet hope persists, a flickering flame glowing, Awareness awakening, voices arise, Empathy transcending apathetic knowing, Together we'll break these chains, this demise. So let us unite and break down the divide, Shun the shackles that bind, cease to conform, For the liberation of all, we shall strive, Humanity redeemed, a new era is born.
