I beg of you, Love, to stay away from me. I don't seek a fairy tale ending; I am not meant for that narrative. And I don't need your sweet deceits of happily ever afters or fairy tales woven with princes and castles. I pray that your arrows find my friends instead, those who deserve your warmth and light. But if you must wander, let it be under distant skies and foreign moons, let it be far from my path. Do not chase after my footsteps or linger in my gaze. Skip over me, leave me untouched, do not burden my soulmate, if such a person exists, with the curse of loving me. Spare me the burden of being loved, of being cherished, for I know not how to reciprocate in kind. Let me be the bystander, the observer, and never the recipient. If you must linger near, let it be a passing breeze that brushes against my cheek, a fleeting moment that leaves no trace. Love, if you have any mercy, pass me by and find another more deserving of your tender embrace.
