Six Feet or Sixty
Six feet or sixty? How far down do I need to bury these parts of me before they are too deep to be felt. Six feet or sixty? I ask myself this as I dig this grave deeper, never will I let the boy inside touch the soil atop, he's too soft for what this world will do to him. Six feet or sixty? I've lost count now. It's dark down here, quiet and alone, cold but not cruel. Here is where I will bury the boy, and when I leave, I will mark his grave in hopes that if found, he will be found by hands of happiness and heartfelt warmth. Till then, here he will lay protected by the suppression of this soil I pile atop him. Six feet or sixty.
