Sinking Ship
I am the ship, adrift and worn, My sails now ragged, my spirit torn. The tides of darkness pull me deep, Where light is lost, and shadows creep. Once I sailed with steady grace, Through skies of blue, with winds to chase. But now the waters twist and swell, A sea of black, a silent hell. The stars above, they fade from sight, Swallowed whole by endless night. The waves, they crash, they pull me down, Into the depths, where dreams all drown. No anchor here, no shore to find, Just the echo of a sinking mind. The weight of it, a heavy stone, Dragging me where I stand alone. I fight, I gasp, but still I fall, The ocean's grip consumes it all. A ship once proud, now fractured, frail, Swallowed whole beneath the gale. The surface fades, no hope remains, Just silent depths and endless chains. The tides of darkness claim their prize, And I descend beneath their lies. Lost to the sea, to endless night, A sinking ship, no longer bright. Consumed by shadows, pulled below, Where even light forgets to glow.
