Silent tears
My tear streaked face is all I can see when I wake From sleep that is barely a flake My puffy red eyes stare at the girl in the picture Wearing a sweet smile without a care in the world She is happy With bright eyes Full of life and joy Not aware of the darkness behind Her world was always sunny and fluffy Adorned with butterflies and rainbows Simple yet exquisite The type I now crave for The devil that she thought she could heal With her love and care Left her to die After sucking her dry She never saw it coming As she thought she was building Something solid and firm Not knowing it was, but a scam Now she is alone Burning in the fire she helped extinguish As she was not able to distinguish Between fiction and reality She is trapped in the dark With no heart nor soul As the devil took it all Breaking them by letting them fall The girl in the picture is none other than me As I stare at her beautiful face Wishing for the life That once was.
