In the quiet hours of the night, when the world is fast asleep, I find a place to hide my pain, a space where shadows creep. My heart is heavy, filled with grief, but no one hears my sigh, For in the dark, I shed my tears, and silently I cry. The sorrow wells within my soul, a storm without a sound, Each tear a drop of hidden pain, that falls without a bound. No sobs escape my trembling lips, no cries to break the night, Just silent tears that tell the tale of battles fought in plight. My heartache is a whispered plea, a call that no one hears, A symphony of silent cries, composed of all my fears. I wear a mask throughout the day, my smile a practiced art, But in the dark, my tears reveal the aching in my heart. The world may see a stronger me, a face that's calm and bright, But in the shadows of my room, I weep throughout the night.
