SILENT STRUGGLE
I could hide the sad version of me, like clouds mask the sun, In a smile that deceives just like an election campaign. Naija blood flows deep in me like the rivers of Africa. They say to cry is weakness, or so I’m told. But here I stand, a boy turned man, Hiding pain because I know I can. Strength, they say is in the silent fight.
