Silent Song
I stopped and just for a minute there i felt dead on the inside and a darkness long forgotten hovered over me with warmth and sweet embrace like the sweet melodies of a beautiful song. A song long forgotten, a silent song so silent and yet so loud a song of a thousand tears Forged from the simple vowels of shhh... Whenever the song comes on i comfort my self in the thought that this time it's gonna be shorter than the last time, but everyday it gets longer with a new verse and more rhythm. Last night it played for an hour Why do i still listen to it you say don't you get tired you ask? no i don't cause i love the artist The love that makes the song bearable Even though sometimes it plays for days I still believe the song will change tomorrow Though it's becoming more of a lullaby And like any silent song No one can hear it but me Until today i switched to loud speakers And the words go something like this We loved her but God loved her more A silent song now heard loud and clear But no one can sing along to my tune.... ~Pesci
