Silent Pain.
In the quiet depths of night, where shadows softly fall, There lies a pain so silent, unseen by one and all. No cries or tears to mark its path, no visible distress, Yet deep within the heart it dwells, a weight that's hard to press. It hides behind a gentle smile, a mask worn with care, Concealing all the aching wounds that linger deep in there. The world may never notice, the sorrow kept at bay, For silent pain is often veiled by words we dare not say. It whispers in the stillness, a voice that none can hear, A quiet plea for comfort, a prayer to draw it near. The heart bears scars invisible, beneath a tranquil guise, And silent pain becomes a friend, a constant, close disguise. Yet in the silence, strength is found, a courage deeply sown, For those who bear their pain unseen, are stronger than they've known. Though silent pain may hold them tight, within its tender grasp, The spirit fights to rise above, with every breath they gasp.
