"Silent Nights"
At ten, I was sent to a place unknown, Where faces were strangers, and I felt alone. The bed felt too empty, the room too wide, A world of silence with nowhere to hide. Each night, the shadows whispered my fears, A thousand thoughts, drowning in tears. Loneliness echoed in the still of the night, And I wondered if the world was ever right. The pain of separation, a weight on my chest, I longed for the warmth of a love I once knew best. But in this new place, I was lost in the dark, A small, silent ember, longing for a spark. Suicidal whispers, like ghosts in my mind, Told me to leave all the hurt behind. But something inside refused to break, A quiet voice that said, stay awake. I didn’t know then how I would survive, But somehow I found the strength to strive. For even in darkness, a spark can be found, And in the silence, there’s hope to be unbound.
