Silent Marathon
My eyes feel so blurry Feels like they are about to rain My head beats alongside my fast-racing heart I run too fast to breathe, my lungs are crying My bones feel hollow I can’t feel myself The world seems to dance in circles around me I feel a forced sense of astra-projection Been running forever, I don’t know when the race would end I can’t see the finish just a mirage of light My hope has been darkened, My star has been quenched I behold darkness even when the daylight is visible to all I run while shackled to weights I see others pass me by, but can’t scream for help Because shame gags me into silence
