Silent Keys, Lingering Chords
A vibrant echo, from moments now past, Yet it stirs my heart, holding memories fast. Days painted bright, a carefree design, A simple grace, some would yearn to enshrine. A gentle indulgence, a treasure untold, Its true worth then, my young mind couldn't hold. Unknowing the richness, the depth it possessed, For how can one cherish what isn't confessed? Silent the keys now, where fingers once flew, But the chords of that music still resonate through. A peaceful refrain, a comforting art, A melody held, deep within my own heart. The song of creation, a solace it gave, A vibrant comfort, uniquely alive and brave. Though moments may fade, and shadows descend, "I'm your light in the dark," a message to lend. Music's own language, a beautiful sign, An elegant show, eternally thine. When the vibrant notes soften, to whispers so slight, A tender ache lingers, embracing the night. I treasure the fragments, the stories they keep, Each echoing chord, a promise to sleep.
