Silent Heart

I loved you while you loved her, my heart began to break, In shadows where I lingered, it was more than I could take. You smiled in her embrace, while I stood there alone, Each secret wish I whispered turned to heartache, overthrown. I still don’t understand how love could feel this way, A bittersweet surrender, a longing every day. I watched you share your dreams, as you built your life with grace, While hidden in the silence, I was lost without a trace.
