Silent Glances, Distant Dreams
Thought of you every passing moment, Dreamt of you with each night's fall. Saw you walking on the other side, Always ahead, never turning around. How can you wander without fear? A sunflower glowing under the sun, Beaming light through the night’s dark veil, Drifting away with each graceful step. I try to catch your gaze, signaling from afar, Yet all you give are goodbyes to other souls. I sit, scintillating with patience, waiting, But the air grows thick, the hope dimming. Blowing a horn, still hesitant and shy, Afraid you’ll quibble, shattering my try. I linger on, though the wait feels long, Hoping you notice, before someone else joins the queue.
