Silent fear, loudly hear
The days go by in silent ache Each moment weighs upon my heart In every laugh in every glance I feel the words I cant impart Ive danced around this truth too long a secret held with trembling hands Afraid to break the bond weve forged Afraid to shatter what now stands The mirror shows a wary face a girl whos torn but who must try for silence grows too loud to bear and hidden love begins to die I watch you from across the room the fear and hope in equal war Could you ever see me as more than just the friend youve known before? The risk, it looms a shadowed beast to lose the trust to change our name to face the worlds unkindly gaze yet in my heart burns just one flame Desperation calls me now to lift the veil to clear the air For I am drowning in this storm and need to breathe to truly share So here I stand before your light my heart laid bare my soul confessed With shaky voice I speak my truth and place my fears upon your chest I love you whispers in the night a truth thats hung between our eyes I brace myself for what may come for judgment, tears or sweet surprise The moment holds a breathless pause Your gaze meets mine unsure yet kind and in this space where truth now blooms we find whats next entwined aligned
