SILENT ECHOES
In the glow of screens, where shadows play, I see your name, yet words drift away, A digital ghost, you linger near, But silence wraps my heart in fear. Your laughter dances in the air, A melody I long to share, Yet here I sit, in muted light, Yearning for your voice, a distant flight. Each ping and buzz, a fleeting hope, Yet all I grasp is empty scope, You’re online, but a world apart, A bittersweet ache within my heart. I type and pause, my fingers freeze, What’s left unsaid brings me to my knees, In every moment, I feel the strain, A love that blooms, yet bears the pain. So here I wait, in this quiet space, For words to bridge this lonely place, Though you’re just a click away, it’s true, The hardest part is missing you.
