Silent Bells
The bell tolled twelve breaking my spell as I staggered into the room. I looked around but only found a single feather, blue. I picked it up wishing for luck, as I hunted for a love that's true. But I only found, as I left for town a single tinkling clue. I followed the sound all around, looking for seven bells. I called out his name, hoping he came, but was met by silence, profound. The bells fell silent, leaving all quiet as I stopped and simply looked down. I turned around ignoring the sound of the silence that rang louder than any tune.
