silent battles
In the quiet, I raise my voice, But Grandma’s heart makes no choice. I bend and twist to fit her mold, Yet love’s embrace feels icy cold. My sister beams, the chosen light, While I stand lost, out of sight. A healer’s heart, but who hears me? In a sea of needs, I’m left to be. An anchor strong, yet pulled beneath, A bridge that cracks, no strength to sheath. A flickering flame consumed by night, A bandage worn, but wounds ignite. Bleeding softly, unseen, unheard, In shadows deep, my heart's deferred. I carry them, yet feel the strain, In silent battles, love’s refrain.
