**Epic of the Silent Voices** In the land where the sun ascends with might, Where the rivers weave tales of ancient fight, A shadow looms, a darkness doth creep, A nation in sorrow, where silence runs deep. Oh Nigeria, cradle of dreams and hope, From valleys to mountains, from Lagos to slope, Your children rise, voices woven in pain, Yet their hearts, forged in courage, will not wane. On streets paved with whispers, the echoes resound, Of lamenting souls where justice is drowned. Bravery calls from the depths of despair, A chorus of hearts, united in care. Oh guardians of peace, clad in uniforms bold, You stood as protectors, or so we were told. Yet duty has faltered, and trust turned to dust, In this saga of shadows, in you we once trusted. What sorcery binds you to tyranny’s chain? What robs you of honor, brings sorrow and pain? The cries of the innocent, like thunder they ring, For the light of compassion, let freedom now sing.
