Sidewalk Thoughts
5:09 pm on a soft December evening I'm walking the sidewalk on Governors and Division. I left her locked in the bathroom. Her drug den and safe place. She's in a drug induced life of pretend and drama. The main star of this masquerade is a beautiful fiend and premadona. I paint the walls of my man cave the splinters of this evening, has been somehow deceiving. She keeps condoms in her purse for the pushers and perverse. On New Street now around the corner from the deli. The lights are blinking. My tongue is numb my forehead sweating. I'm walking back home now. The cave of my safe place. I halfway hope she's ran away to a boat, she said someplace. My nerves are distraught I haven't taken my medicine in days. Depressed is all, I need to find a purpose and a place. A relatively hidden domesticated safe place.
