Shall I Compare Thee to a Winter's Night? Shall I compare thee to a winter’s night? Thy eyes white, dazzling, frozen’s might They light each path, they softly burn, They mesmerize the hearts once torn. Cold yet piercing, fierce yet kind, A tender storm within thy mind. Shall I compare thee to a winter’s night? In cold’s deep hush, the bellows sighed, A gentle hum, acapella cried. And through the crackle of the air, “Take me home,” the radio blared. But where is home, if not your arms Your warmth, your breath, your silent charms? Shall I compare thee to a winter’s night? The chill that bites beneath the skin, The wild wind’s dance, its howling din. But then thy smile, a frosty light One glance, and all the dark turned bright. Shall I compare thee to a winter’s night? Oh, ephemeral soul, those eyes of thine Even snow must bow, must yield its shine. The mistletoe forgets its lore, What’s warmth, what’s joy if not you more? These, the winter night cannot confer… So, darling... Shall I compare thee To a winter’s night?
