Sick of this
I'm sick but I'm not sick of you, Just sick of the shit you put me through. Because you were sweet and you were tough, But our "I love you" was not enough. I'm so sick of your "I'm sorry", But sicker of the times you're not. Sick of questioning “What are we?”, And sick of thinking you're hot. You said you want to be friends. Well we were, and that's where it ends. That's when you distance yourself, And that's when I laugh at myself. I can't believe I believed what you said And all I can do is cry on my bed. The worst part is, I knew you’d do it, But didn't know how hard it would hit. I know I'll get better, I'll forget your letter. I'll stop waiting for you, And fall for someone new. 'Cause you never loved me And neither did I. 'Cause this never happened, There was no goodbye. I'm still sick, but never sick of you. Now I'm grateful for what you put me through. It made me sweet and made me tough, And my "I love me" is just enough. Now I'm sick of saying sorry. Sicker of remembering you're not. And I know I don't have to worry, But I'm still thinking you're hot. And, you know, friends is just okay. It wouldn't bother me that way. I'll just wish it was you When they ask me "What's new?”.
