"Show up"
I just woke up, and I'm already tired. This world is filled with such cruel liars. People I thought were safe and would stay, Were really the ones who first turned away. Sometimes, I regret starting the day, Dragging my feet as the curtains leak rays. The girl in front of me. She seems so picture-perfect. Probably worried about the movie "Glee," Or something. She's not nervous. The boy behind me. A jock. He looks like he has the stress of a rock. The teacher drones on about wings. The kid tapping his foot is pulling my strings. They don't, nor can't, know, I didn't want to wake up this morning. I cried for hours writing notes. And no, I am not mourning. My arms drip red with blood. If I was in a shop, the girls would scream, "Oh look, this one's a dud!" But they don't know what happens behind my 'screen.' This is a quite vulagar poem, you see, But they are real struggles behind the scenes. This is a little note to say don't give up. Someone's always waiting for you to show up.
