Show Me
I never showed all the pain The years of heartbreak Insanity from my days Those who looked up to me Those who desired to be like me I proclaim now that is a dreadful wish While I am resiliant and determined I am a wreckage unseen by the sun Much like sunken ships My weakness are only known if you really look at me I never showed just how much I hurt The tears I cried The emotional drops Manic laughter Paniced silent screams Numbness They never saw it If they did, they let it grow Now here I wander untrusting of the world because why should others care? My childhood created such a thought Now I stand older and somehow everything else aged But my philosophy remained unwrinkled I beg the question, how? How do I show my pain? How do I speak about it? Will anyone bother to listen? Do my thoughts count? Am I one?
