Should I be a bigger person
It hurts to be the bigger person cuz When you'd yell I would always stay silent You never noticed I was too quiet I was taught that speaking up was talking back So I learned to stay quiet And always say sorry first Cuz I wanted you to like me Cuz I wanted you to stay with me But I've learned that the harder I try to hold on to you The harder you slip away I shouldn't be the bigger person How come I had to break so that I can keep us working I was the only one who held things together I was the only one who fixed the broken windows I shouldn't be the bigger person But It always been my fault even though it shouldn't be And l would always take the blame for you cuz I loved you I shouldn't be the bigger person But I have always been one And now I'm trying to heal From all the emotional abuse that you did to me And don't do this to the next one I wish you nothing but the best
