Should B Loved
I reach out and return broken-hearted, the pieces fit, but are scattered across the garden. With pen and paper, my feelings harden; grey to black, the ashes rest in my stomach I gave you hope and praised your life. Settled on a tragedy, as blood dries on this knife. I carve you out like a Halloween pumpkin, the plate is clean as you left me with nothing. The water is flat, and the ink is drying up. I thought we were forever ... I pour poison in this plastic dixie cup, proceed to close up my final chapter. I cross my Ts and dot my Is. Realizing I've become everything I despise.
