Short Poem #5
The rain outside begins to pour, But I’ve been drowning long before. Each drop reminds me I’m not whole, A shattered mind, a sinking soul. I wish that someone’d notice too, The weight I bear, the hell I go through. But pity’s worse than being ignored — So I stay silent, bruised, and bored. The rain will stop, the clouds will part, But storms still rage within my heart. And though the sun may kiss the sky, The rain inside will never dry.
