Shores of Sorrow
On the shore, where sky and sea collide, I stand alone, lost in my thoughts inside. The waves, like wounds that refuse to mend, Wash over my mind, pain and regret they send. The sand, warm beneath my weary feet, Like the fire of my heart, burning bittersweet. The wind, cold and strong, a forceful gust, Like my soul, searching for peace, for trust. The sun, descending, leaves a prayer behind, That my pain and sorrow may finally unwind. But the shore, a witness to my endless strife, With every crashing wave, I feel the sting of life. Each grain of sand, a teardrop, it seems, Reminding me of dreams, of lost, forgotten schemes. Dreams that vanished like smoke in the air, Loves that ended, leaving only despair. On the shore, I search for an answer true, To my questions, to the pain I go through. But the only sound I hear is the ocean's roar, Whispering, "There is no answer, you must endure." Yet, through it all, a flicker of hope remains, For the shore, a symbol of change, it sustains. And I hope, when the sun rises again, I'll be free, With new dreams and hope, a new dawn I'll see.
