Shockwaves
My foot thunders against the ground, faster than it’s ever known. My fingers twist around this pen, fidgeting, fumbling, shaking, like it might anchor me before I come undone. Pulse pounds against my temples, a drumbeat of dread in my ears. My eyes flicker around the room but nothing holds. Nothing stays. Only this storm inside. Thoughts spin, warped and senseless, distorted whispers with no name. The darkness claws at every edge, uncontained, uninvited, furious. Rage screams in the echo chamber of my skull, a pain so deep it doesn’t bleed, but tears at every fibre of me, shockwaves breaking under my skin.
