Shivering In Your Solstice
It is a miserable fate, to be a winter soul hopelessly in love with a summer sun. I watch you pour your light onto everyone else, making them bloom, while I sit just an inch outside your radius, shivering in the dark. I don't even beg for your warmth anymore; I have learned to survive on the mere sight of your brightness. But sometimes, just sometimes, the cold gets so deep into my chest that I wonder how a heart can keep beating for someone who doesn't even know it's freezing.
