Shh
Shh he says as he hugged me. skin cold as his heart and wind in the air. Shh he says as he sits next to me places his hand on my thigh under that white lace dress he convinced my step mother to have me wear. Shh he says as he helps me play hide and seek with my brothers and sisters. into the shed as he holds me there covering my mouth shh he says. the tears fall down my face as I cry walking back inside. laying there on my bed Shh my step mother says. Silence as the years pass by and the tears become dry. Shh I say as the tears of water turn to tears of blood. the cold touch of his hand turns to the cold touch of a blade in mine Shh I say so I no longer cry, years pass and no more blood and no more pain, shh I say as he lies in the casket and into his grave. six feet under his secrets lay and no longer will I hear shh from his face.
