she's worn out
I communicate plainly. Then I go silent, on and off calls and messages. I am building a life, grinding toward something better. But when I turn back, she’s gone. I don’t measure up. I’m a cheat. I point the mirror outward. It’s the neediness. The complacency. The obsession with presence, with validation. It all starts to look like a disguise for hormones. Emotional masochism? I get why you’d think that. But no I am locked in on my goals, just as I’d expect her to be. We all go have a separate life, don’t we? She’s leaving not because I didn’t care, but because I cared differently. I focused on becoming something more, and somehow, that wasn’t enough. She’s worn out. And honestly, I won’t stop her. I’m still building. Still becoming. This time, the focus has to be ruthless. @Wounded-writer @bleeding pen must continue inking
