Shelf Life
Selfish. Give her back to me. You turned her into a monster! I see your content behind poised ruby bows Attention you receive, Intentions you deceive The devil lives in a glass bottle. Out on display Shamelessly, you don't hide. Perhaps I do, She found her truth Each day she looks, she sees you, too. Oh but where is the antidote to addiction? Is there not such a bottle displayed with a halo to gaze upon? My heart drips crimson, Full-bodied and Intense stained over every letter in your hand. My tears stream scarlet, Tart and Complex sticky, sightly, left in a daze. Why be it not enough to fight what is multiplied? On a shelf, it lasts but a day, when I age with growing time You selfish thing, You poison her, you poison me.
