Sheep(?)
This pasture of peace where we sheep idly lie Unaware of the wolves who decide when we die Our shepherd convinced us the fence was made high But there was never a fence in the first place A palace protected our shepherd inside We sleep in the dark yet have no ways to hide The howls had come late with no time to decide Cause there was never a fence in the first place The fool we had trusted now feigns his surprise Cause a fence was expensive he surely surmised So he writes off his losses while we mourn while we cry Was it planned and prepared in the first place? Some sheep are consumed by their fear or by hate Still others resign to the facts of their fate For me I intend to move on from this field Cause I was never a sheep in the first place
