She Weeps
The tears she cries are not for herself, They are for her children and no one else. They didn't heed her warning, Ignored her shouts of alarm. Gathered too close together, And were brought low by the storm. Now for her children she does mourn, Never will they be at her breast again. She weeps for the memory of them, But their voices are silent, Their souls abandoned and oh so cold.
