She Stayed Silent
Her boyfriend told her that she was built like a hippo and she weighed more than a builder. She stayed silence. Her friends asked to hangout with her and their other friends but she wasn't good enough to be posted in their group pictures. She stayed silent. Her Family said she needs to change herself or no one will ever love her. She stayed silent. Her sister never said hi to her in school because she was afraid to be seen with her. She stayed silent. A group of boys in the hallway kept pointing out which one wanted to get her number. She stayed silent. A group of girls from behind her were giggling and walking far from her and taking pictures of her. She stayed silent. She never cried in front of anyone or anywhere. She didn't have real friends or anyone to really understand her or treat her like a person. That last school day would be the last day any of them would see her. They all brought flowers to her grave and would say they regret everything they said and did to her. But if she was still living deep down they all knew... everything would have been the same and they wouldn't stop mocking her. She was a person. Like you and like me. Words and actions can hurt and take someone's life.
