SHE LEFT
No, she didn't leave out of spite It wasn't hate that made her take flight But disappointment in the truth she found In the shattered promises that did abound She believed in the dreams you shared In the love and the future you both declared But when the facade began to fade She saw the reality of the charade Not the person she thought you were But someone different, someone unsure Of the values and beliefs she held dear In the lies and deceit that became clear So she made the decision to walk away To protect her heart, to find a better way No malice in her departure, just a need to be free From the person you turned out to be She didn't leave because she hates you But because the love she felt wasn't true And in the end, she had to choose Herself, her happiness, her own truth to pursue.
