She Kept Blooming
They tried to dim her little light, With words that whispered in the night. They laughed at dreams she held so tight, And told her wrong could never be right. But still she walked with silent grace, A hopeful fire upon her face. She prayed, she cried, she stood alone, Yet found the courage to carry on. She kept on blooming, day by day, Though storms and shadows blocked her way. Not loud, not proud, not seeking praise, Just growing in her quiet ways. Her strength was soft, her heart was deep, With thoughts she planted while they sleep. And one day all the world will see The girl they doubted bloomed freely.
