Shattered Reflection
Shattered Reflection ........... A shell of myself That's what I became, Mirrors themselves Cracked at the sight of me These are what remain Only cracked memories. If my days are over How come I'm still here?, The answer still eludes me Staring at me Are the shadows I once knew Shells of past lives Hang on like magnets What a force I can't shake Let my days never be sad . I stand here Asking where I am, My eyes are wide open But my soul still slumbers If I never wake up Be there for me. Mirror, Mirror Sacred mirror, Lead me to my real reflection Lest I remain A shadow I never want. © Adiela Michael
