Shattered Man
A husk of man, a hollowed shell.. A cynical heart, where only shadows dwell... Practicality my armor, cold and keen.. A fortress built on doubt, unseen... I've traded dreams for bitter truth.. Replaced hope's glow with shadowed veil.. Haunted by echoes of what could be.. A prisoner of memories, wild and free.. I loathe the man I've become, it's true.. All i have is a fractured soul, and a broken view.. I've built a wall to keep the world at bay.. Ignoring whispers of a brighter day.. Yet, in the depths, a flicker remains.. A spark of hope, defying the chains.. Perhaps, one day, I'll find the key.. To unlock myself and set my spirit free..
