Shattered Illusions

In shadows cast by dreams once bright, I gave my heart, I gave my light. You wore a mask, a charming guise, But all I saw were empty lies. With whispered words, you stole my soul, A fragile love, you took your toll. I built you up, a tower high, While you watched gleefully, passing by.
