Shattered Heart
Behind a mask, I hide the ache, A shattered heart, no soul could break. Silent screams in the shadows dance, Beneath the facade, a tragic trance. They say they know, they claim to see, Yet veiled in darkness, the real me. Words fall short, a shallow stream, In the caverns of despair, I dream. A puppeteer of my own demise, Tangled in threads of tear-stained lies. Understanding, a distant land, In this desolate kingdom, I withstand. A masquerade, a twisted art, Concealing fragments torn apart. Grim echoes in the silence swell, As I crumble in this private hell. The world may nod, in sympathy, But depths uncharted, they'll never see. In the theater of sorrow, I play my part, A soliloquy of a shattered heart.
