Shattered Glass of my soul
I am shattered glass, Splinters of light too jagged to hold. Once whole, now scattered, A mirror reflecting nothing but hollow skies. I let no one close— The sharp edges cut, And every step towards me leaves scars I never meant to give. I am too lost in the dark corners Of my own fractured mind, Falling, falling, Too far to hear your voice anymore. I lash out because it’s easier to hurt Than to be hurt. It’s safer to drive you away Than let you see me unravel. I built walls, tall and cruel, And buried myself in silence, Afraid of your touch, Afraid of what I’ve become. But in truth, I’m just a ghost In a body made of wounds, Too broken to be healed, Too shattered to be found.
