Shattered Chains
Blood flows softly, like autumn's rain Darkness grows nearer, with every pain Demons call loudly, with voices so clear God's call so faint, a whispered prayer The shadows creep, with stealthy pace The heart beats fast, in a troubled space The demons' chorus, a haunting refrain God's whisper lost, in the wind and rain But then He comes, with a mighty sound Jesus shatters chains, His voice resounds Demons flee, as the drums of heaven beat Fear departs, as love and hope repeat The darkness trembles, the shadows flee As Jesus' presence, sets the captives free The demons' roar, is silenced and still As God's great love, our hearts does fill And as the silence breaks, I wake to life From darkness' grasp, to morning's light The world revives, with renewed design In Jesus' love, my heart beats just in time.
