Shattered
The mirror cracked, reflecting lies, A fractured self, before my eyes. I sought the truth, a hidden gleam, Awakened now, a broken dream. Misunderstood, a whispered word, My innocence, unjustly blurred. A tangled web, deceitfully spun, My trust betrayed, the battle won. Lost in shadows, dimly lit, A path unseen, a fading grit. The weight of blame, a heavy toll, A wounded soul, beyond control. I chased the ghosts of yesterday, Their haunting whispers, led astray. A silent scream, a stifled plea, The price of truth, for all to see. Now standing here, amidst the debris, A shattered self, for all to see. The fragments scattered, far and wide, A broken heart, I cannot hide.
