Shattered

Broken and shattered, I want to give up Every step becoming increasingly tough My spirit feels drained, my heart heavy Can't help but feel so lost and unsteady The darkness consumes me, suffocating my soul I pray for strength to again be whole But for now, I'm broken, I want to give up. Broken heart, shattered dreams Alone in darkness, or so it seems Lost in thoughts, tears fall like rain Silent screams, endless pain Loneliness becomes my only friend A broken soul, with no mend In the void, I am confined With a shattered heart and a troubled mind. Ache in my heart, Tears in my eye, Pain that won't depart, Sadness I can't deny. Tortured by emotions, Suffocating in despair, Endless commotions, Life's too much to bear.
