Shared Sanctuary
It's as though you were written basing on what my heart needed Because whatever my heart didn't have, you tore a piece of yours and fixed it in the gap where I needed it When I needed to stay strong When it hurt, you gave me a piece of your strength When I needed to be brave in moments of trembling uncertainty, You fixed the audacious bit of you, right in it's missing space Overtime, your consistency at this hasn't wavered, you've given me every ounce of courage that I needed, but, you've been too selfless to notice the weight of your own heart's generosity I've taken it down thread by thread, beat by beat, and the very heart has been rebuilt on the inside of me And now that I'm ok, you don't want me to give it back, bcz I'd go back to what I was but I can't bear to see you go through what I did, you don't deserve that So how about this, let's share one heart There it's us against the world because, as one, we form an unyielding fortress Impenetrable and strong one that can't be crashed by whatever the world's trauma throws at us Within the walls of this heart, all fears fade away, allowing strength and love to occupy the gap Now every moment is a testament to the greatness of our forever merged souls
