shadows within

Shadows within, Dark and deep, Lurking in the corners, As I try to sleep. They whisper secrets, Of doubts and fears, Reminding me of failures, Through the passing years. I try to ignore them, To push them away, But they linger still, As the night wears on. But I will not let them define me, I will not let them win. I will face the shadows within, And let the light shine in. For in the facing of our fears, We find the strength to grow, To rise above the shadows, And let our true selves show
