Shadows within
In every dawn's faint light, I search for strength to fight, The weight of worries, unspoken fears, The shadows that bring endless tears. The city awakens, loud and cold, I face the day, my heart grown old, The struggles of each passing night, Leave scars that refuse to take flight. The mask I wear, a fragile guise, Conceals the pain, the hidden cries, The world moves on, unaware of my plight, As I drown in this endless fight. In every crowded street, I'm alone, A soul adrift, without a home, The echoes of my silent screams, Are lost in the city's cacophony's schemes. My dreams, like autumn leaves, wither away, As reality's harsh winds sway, The flames of hope, now reduced to ash, Leave only embers of a shattered past. Yet still I rise, though broken and worn, Through tears and darkness, I'm reborn, For in the shadows, a spark remains, A glimmer of resilience, a heart that sustains.
